Mac Mini or MacBook but for other uses I would buy myself a 1U quad core server.

Eww a mac mini? I'd just save up and buy one with the money I already have not use my free infinate money on one! Macbook I could agree with though

Build the best computer I can with Core i9s, quad-SLi if that's even out yet, at least 12GBs of DDR3 RAM etc etc, then a rackserver with x2 quad cores and 16GBs RAM with multiple NICs to host VMs on for game servers, then a Mac Pro and a MacBook Pro.

Costs like 800£ ive found, cheapest without being second hand.

I would go mad with multi-screen. Probably six 30" monitors, three on the bottom row, three above them. Then play something like Crysis or FSX on them, how awesome would that be? And of course an awesome computer to be able to handle them.
