    LMAO

Adam would you know what I was on about if I described a film which centred on Richard Attenborough as a prisoner who makes friends with the prisoner in the cell next to him and I think they escape. That's all I remember from watching it years ago. It's not either of the two mentioned Alcatraz titles is it?

The Alactraz movie I mentioned is worth watching, stars Clint Eastwood (Y).

What?! I thought The Great Escape was Steve McQueen etc in a war prison? (Admittedly I've never watched it properly). The film I'm talking about is pretty much just Attenborough throughout the film as an old man in an old style bricked cell and the other prisoner is also an old man and I think he somehow digs his way out or something.

Attenborough is in The Great Escape. They dig tunnels in that. I can't think of any other prison film with Richard in, and he hasn't done anything like that in recent years where he could be called "an old man". He was 40'ish when he did The Great Escape, though. Hmm...

I'm not 100% sure it's him, but I can't think who else it could have been. And yeah, it's not really making sense to me either because it's definitely not a recent film (I saw it at least 5 or 6 years ago and it was old even then) but the guy was an old man.

I have a feeling the prison was either Alcatraz or a fictional prison similar to it with really old brick wall cells. Not like a normal prison with exercise yards or anything like that, just the guy in his cell for the whole film (at least from what I remember). Can you think of any other Alcatraz-related films at all?

One of the greatest movies of all time, an absolute masterpiece. I can't believe that you people never heard of it, and secondly, how'd you stuff up the name?
