Ah well, at least you've got it close to you Something is telling me you maybe able to petition to have a line put down your street, seeing as you've got glass fibre nearby. If enough people agree, you should be able to get it (assuming it works along the same lines as gas and oil, where you only get it if you petition to have it installed because it's nearby).

Im assuming my village/town will be getting it in 1-2 years seeing as were having all major improvements around the place, itd be silly not to have it

Dunno if it's the same thing, but we were going to get Ntl or Virgin or something once (basically cable TV) but apparently it's not available where we live - even though various houses around us in different directions already have it :S
