What i've done is just applied the main forum rules, if there is an active thread on a topic it cant be posted again

No need for a new rule reptitive threads should be merged together like any other threads about the same subject, as has always been the case in every forum.

Well, technically a duplicate thread which contains the same information would just be closed but if it contains new information which could be valid we would merge them

I've posted a force-read thread for that section to stop people doing this by the way, just reiterating the forum rules

Agree with Oli. What is the point of merging duplicate threads containing the same information and no substance. A moderator has always had a discretion whether to close or merge a duplicate thread. In this instance it makes sense for a forum specific rule in this section.

If there is already an active topic advertising a website it is not allowed to create another topic.

The cut off point is 14 days since the last post as any further posts would be classed as bumping.

But the rule also says you're allowed bump if you have information to be added so it should be longer for website

However the rule doesn't state that if you wanted to post that information in a seperate thread you couldn't, it just says that you can bump the other thread if you wish.

I think one month per website would be better. Why does anyone need to re-advertise a website every 14 days?

If the limit gets abused I will consider extending it, but for now I don't think a specific forum rule is needed

I will clarify this with the tech moderators, as I believe these recent multiple threads were missed by them

One per 14 days or one per month equally seem good and significantly better than the current situation.
