i was driving. wasnt on the news but if one of us died im sure it would have been.

While it looks like your roof did very well and served it's purpose, one thing which will be through the roof next year is your insurance

How'd you crash anyway?

took a corner to fast and the back started to slide out, over corrected it the opposite way, then over corrected again. back end hit the verge and the car flipped and rolled. rolled 3 times along a drystone wall and 180'd off it over a ditch, landed on the roof - half on the road.


went to the scrappys today to get stuff out of the car. seeing the state of it in daylight made me realise just how lucky i was to walk away with just cuts and bruises.

had the 'omg im actually away to die' adrenaline rush. was an experience like.

just noticed that none of the airbags went off!? :S

if the car had curtain airbags they would have deployed. front airbags are only designed to deploy in a front impact crash.
