Asked him on msn today. After five minutes he replies to a question before the bit I asked him which was about my mate and goes offline
in otherwords he didn't answer what am I meant to do tomorrow act normal :S I doubt I can do that.

Just keep talking to him and flirt a bit if you like the guy.. Hang in there, he might have been under pressure of being put on the spot. Maybe this advise from my cousin helps:
ugh its a tough one.... i dont think id just come out and ask it...you know, the pressure etc and being put on the spot is never easy. If i was in your shoes id be very subtle about it... make up some crap like "everyone i know keeps asking me why we're not together...why are we not together" that way ur not putting a load of pressure on him.
(i pretty much copied it straight from a facebook message, so where it says HER change it to him)
