What's almost as shocking is the fact that they don't just put the poor thing down (and that fat ***** while they're at it).

Why do they need to put it down?
Ending its life for no reason... that was her intention, so you're giving her what she wants.
It's disgusting. Stupid girl.

No, she didn't have an intention other than pure cruelty and spite. I'm pretty sure it's going to be in pain for a long time to come if not for the rest of its life - not to mention it has a phobia of humans now so good luck with keeping it as a pet. It's called being humane.
I agree with Black_Apalachi. It's better to put down an animal in pain than to let it live in pain... surely you must agree. No, she didn't have an intention other than pure cruelty and spite. The phobia of humans isn't an issue, it doesn't have to be kept as a pet it can be "rehabilitated" quite easily, the fact of it being in pain for the rest of its life, I am sure that a vet would know what to do... that's the first thing that probably happened - taken to a vet. The vet knows more about the animal than either of us and they've obviously said it will be fine.. even if it needs to have an amputation. No, she didn't have an intention other than pure cruelty and spite. Fair enough but what do you mean that the fear of humans isn't an issue? If it's not kept as a pet it can only be put in a sanctuary or something but would still have to experience daily human contact. It would probably take a very long time to regain its trust and no matter what a vet says, it can hardly be enjoying a top quality life really, can it?The phobia of humans isn't an issue, it doesn't have to be kept as a pet it can be "rehabilitated" quite easily, the fact of it being in pain for the rest of its life, I am sure that a vet would know what to do... that's the first thing that probably happened - taken to a vet.
