I wasn't aware that Habbox used to encourage US, AU and CA users to use HabboxForum.com, I was under the impression that they used HabboxWorld, which if I remember correctly eventually closed down and it was at that time written off.
It is the best one for sure lol

I wanted us to push HxF and Hx at international but Sierk decided to go for habbox.us and had its own forum and never took off (The staff worked really hard) I think they tried 1 or 2 others and then gave up. Then HabboxWorld appeared and they all worked really hard but they were playing catchup on the already established sites so made it very very hard to be as big as it deserved.

No it's not David..? It's just we're UK based and most probably are going to say that way. There's US fansites and there's UK. UK does seem to be a popular hotel but it's just our prefered choice. As for events I doubt it's possible, we don't have US Events Managers or GMs etc. Doubt it's necessary too. Most US actually play UK too. We don't need staff yet can we have Matt and Roxy watching events around the clock either.

In otherwords we are UK based and better stay that way.

That's too bad. If Habboxforum.com could get established on the North American Hotel I can't imagine how much this community would grow!

I've yet to see a US or CA fansite which comes close in popularity or with such a established community as Habbox, perhaps I haven't looked hard enough.

I think that the content side of things could really easily adapted for the change but I don't think that Habbox could keep up with demand on the international community side of things. Personally I would like to see it happen as a lot more fansites are international fansites and in some cases official aswell, but it just might not be feasible for us to venture back into something like this.

There's certainly no lack of help, from both the current Habboxers and new Habboxers that would come from going international.

Tbh i am not surprised that more international people don't come on. The attitude that we get because we aren't up-to-date with the ins-and-out of the british media and stuff is bad. Take Garion for example, i replied to the Sarg saying that it wasn't even in the news over here (because he said ignorance is bliss) and then God Garion just comes in and acts all high and mighty about not understanding what happens in the British media because i am not British.

But i wouldn't mind seeing a few more international kids overall..

You know full well that was not the case. You stormed into the thread as usual insisting that the kid who was kidnapped had probably wandered off. Then when you were corrected, instead of admitting to your own fault, you kept hopelessly defending yourself until you were ultimately arguing with everyone in the thread. You do it in any thread which is at all about a topic that would be unfamiliar to foreigners but you come across in such a way as if you're almost purposely misunderstanding the topic and then you shove your own terminology in which is only familiar to yourself (as an international member) just to cause as much confusion as possible. If you really were that bothered about understanding various topics or phrases you would just spend 3 seconds Googling it rather than creating a page of nonsense in a thread.

When this is the attitude you undertake, don't be shocked when it's not taken to kindly. In case you haven't noticed, there aren't any other international members sharing your complaints.

Well done on telling people exactly what happened in that thread and for not missing out any important bits

    Lemme explain what really happened:

Thread: Missing British Boy Found Safe In Pakistan

The thread was posted with a Source which explained the full story of the news. i.e. he was kidnapped.

Then this is what you posted.
hmm, big whoop if i am honest. People go missing all the time. He probably just took a wrong turn somewhere =/
If you had even bothered reading the news article which Black_Apalachi had linked to in that thread, you would not have made a complete fool of yourself by stating "took a wrong turn somewhere". His family went through a 6 hour ordeal and the boy was kidnapped at the end of it.

    then you posted:

or its because it wasn't even in the news over here. thats how important it is.
I think its obvious that a British getting kidnapped in Pakistan will mainly be on British and Pakistani news, not Australian headlines. Garion was right in saying "If you are going to visit a forum with a high proportion of British members, then expect to see British news posted.".

If you are going to post in the news forum in future, its usually a good idea to read the Source. If you cant be bothered like in the above mentioned thread, then don't bother posting in that thread at all. Its pointless posting. Time to report that post of yours for pointless posting as it clearly was.

What most people are forgetting is that you resources for events etc on habbo.com is hugely limited. I mean many people give the odd hc on habbo.co.uk because it is so well known and trusted. But in America who would give a few super rares or something to a unknown fansite?

Although I am sure if Habbox asked in an Announcements that any habbo.com donations would be great you might get bits and bobs, but I doubt anything magnificent as most our users play .co.uk
