Does that mean they are both that price or each?

Those prices would be each because the disc version is £30 for both

I'd just get the disc otherwise you can't play with other people.

If you just want to get one (short on cash), get Ballad.

also on the trophies front, it's pretty disappointing.
There's only 5 for TLAD and 10 for TBOGT
and they're all bronze

TL&D is the most boring GTA game I have ever played (and I've played them all bar hand-held exclusives). TBoGT is what GTA IV should have been. Neither will take you very long to complete and although it has these annoying objectives that show up at the end of missions, TBoGT is by far superior.

TBoGT is much better having played it a little. The early missions are good and it has more little things to do on the side like base jumping. but you can do club management aswell which is coolio, plus theres more characters that are more interesting and its all shiny and bright. And it gives you more replay value since you can try to 100% the objectives for each mission
