    A restore takes your computer back to the state it was in the past. A reinstall will give you a completely fresh OS with nothing on it.

    it was a trojan lmao... it's like worse than iceland's volcano to most of the people on here. why on earth would you do a full windows reformat.

    it just mucked up the registry and now it's removed we've resolved the .exe problem so it's all sorted really.

    just keep something like Avast! free running or something bro

    because it's better to be safe; i'd rather go knowingly with a fresh install than carry on, unaware there could be something else tbh.

    so how would i go about doing this reinstall? And itll JUST take me back to an earlier point in time? should i back up any work i may have done just incase?

    A reinstall requires a Windows disc; you'd need to backup all your documents/music/pictures etc
