Basically, until you have 5 posts you aren't placed into the "Gold Members" usergroup which gives you access to the features, including the signatures feature - however the system doesnt run promotions until like 25 past the hour or something which is why it didn't work when you'd gone over 5 posts - but I've sorted it for you manually
