i can't really explain fashion trends in cambridge but not many people wear it round here either, so it's not an overworn brand as such. while i do agree with your second point also, i would prefer abercrombie over wills but i've been put off recently by 40 year old + men wearing abercrombie. if they wanted that brand so badly they should purchase aubin and wills clothing which is by the abercrombie brand but specifically aimed at the middle aged market.

the fact that a lot of the preppy kids round here (and trust me, it doesn't get much preppier) don't wear it suggests something imo.
