For me it was Tony Popovic's own goal. He was in the right place, at the right time. He got just enough of a flick on it to make sure the keeper had no chance of saving it. Great precision and accuracy, technically class, a work of art. Not even the best in the World could score something like that.

    Cristiano Ronaldo vs. Portsmouth
I've been a big fan of Ronaldo for ages so I was gutted when he left United but this is one goal that really stood out for me; it was a perfect free kick, layed perfectly on the top right corner and David James knew it was almost impossible to reach.

I'll be branded a maniac for speakin' the truth and I'll be murdered as soon as I hit the streets with the proof.

Diego Maradona against England in 1986, Old enough to remember sad right? Maradonna beats five England Players before calmy hotting the ball into the net. While not running like George Wah.

    My favourite goal...

No doubt in my mind, scored by one of the biggest legends that has ever played the game, Beckham himself. So many years on this goal is remembered and played. Truly awesome goal. This video pretty much explains everything.

Diego Maradona, you can not even think about saying that he isn't a legend, he is such a goal-scoring legend. This is just one of his amazing goals

entry: the best goal I have seen would have to be Jermaine Beckford's goal for Leeds United, against Manchester United in the FA cup third round (january 3rd 2010). This isn't because the goal was particularly great, but because the significance of the goal was huge. Not only was Leeds a team in the third tier of English football and Manchester United one of the best teams in the best league but there had always been a rivalry between the sides, seeing the underdog win is always a great experience and that goal caused that. The meaning and the significance of the goal was amazing and it was written all over any Leeds fans face for days after the game, everyone was talking about it, Beckford made it happen.
