it is actually one reason why i dont have an avatar/signature myself. It makes pages way to long to scroll up and down imho. I imagine it adds A LOT of space onto the page, which just isnt needed

Yeah I was thinking the vertical post-bit view only looks good with a small avatar or none at all.

That looks ridiculous, the sig space due to your short post is like 10 times bigger than the post space

You could do what JB has done but set a minimum size for the post space so that it's never minuscule (like in the image) but it can also stretch when necessary to accommodate longer posts. At least I imagine that would be possible?
