That's about the only reason I bought the Nexus. All I knew when I bought it was the screen resolution, and that it would be handsomely rewarded in software updates for being Google's child![]()

Ah screw it I'm just going to get the Desire cause it saves me £5per month
HTC modded the Linux kernel further (in addition to adding SenseUI) and managed to improve battery life over the N1.I'm not sure. Maybe because the Nexus is Google branded and has Froyo. To be honest I'd just buy the cheapest one as other than 60mb of ram on the Desire, and the newer Android on the Nexus, they're basically identical.
They have the same battery, and Nexus has Froyo, so the Desire doesn't have better battery life :S
If you really want to get FroYo quicker, you can root the Desire and get a community ROM on there, although you'll lose SenseUI.
You should lose Sense UI. I can install one of Paul's Froyo roms with Sense.
Also I'm not running the stock kernel![]()

I didn't need to get a twitter app either, because there's an official one that came with my phone too Tom
Although for the life of me I can't see a civil point to Twitter (no push tweets yet), so I use it as a text messaging proxy across the pond to text Sharove3:

Ill give a rooted ROM a go tonight![]()

I guess it's looking like that. Although we do get updates before anyone else (for now)
Try some user made kernels if you can, Tom. Cyan 6.0 is just amazing for the N1.

Haha yeah. Tbh I would like to try out an Android phone to see what all the fuss is aboutif only I had my old iPhone 3G, could have put Froyo 2.2 (???) on it.
