America is generally far more strict in decency issues than the UK is.

Especially since some of the alerts were s'exually orientated. Take Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as an example. It's recently been changed to an AO (Adults Only) rating from an R rating, I believe. Only around 3 or 4 games have ever had this high rating, and it's been taken off the shelves in a lot of stores (and even been banned in Australia).

True, American laws and government are far more complicated then alot of people tend to see. Gun posession is tolerated and posession of marijuana can land you in jail for years. The US government is very very strict when it comes to content that minors are able to view or subjected to.

All those alerts of a sexual nature that contained filtered words is not something that they will be able to hide.

Americans can stub their toe in a swimming pool and file a lawsuit. Its not like in the UK where yuo have to almost die to get compesation off people, Americans can sue for being caused stress and stuff like that.

Definately it will go that far. In the United States lawsuits against corporations based on this form of conduct is all too popular. This sort of thing is monitored closely by the FCC and 1 single complaint can actually have the whole US division of habbo hotel closed. The United States government is very strict regarding these policys and surely they will be receiving alot of complaints but more damaging they will definately be contacted by the US Federal communications commission or the appropriate department which will Slap them with a hefty fine. They may also receive civil lawsuits from parents who will claim their children should not be exposed to this language and vulgarity especially for a service in which their parents have funded.

To be honest I hope they are hit with a huge fine, what we witnessed on Habbohotel.com today is something that the whole corporation should be ashamed of and I myself will definately file a complaint against them with the proper federal department of the US governement.

Youth should not be subjected to this conduct within a service for which parents are paying a fee to keep their children safe and occupied.

I agree with most of that but not sure about the sueing of bad language. IF peoples furni/rooms get deleted they WILL be sue and most proberly a massive fine for .com!! If somebody hacked .com can they do .co.uk??

The bad language could be classified as being worse than the deletion of furni from their database. The network that broadcasted the Super Bowl where Janet Jackson flashed with a star actually covering her breast resulted in a fine from the FCC of over 1 million dollars I believe.

There was no actual nudity but because of the fact there was no disclaimer that people may be subjected to that and Viewer discretion was not advised they felt the reprecussions just as I hope and assume Sulake will over that disgusting display of unprofessionalism today.

.com is going too face a lot of trouble over this. It seems wild though that a 24 Hour Moderated hotel usually with 2 MOD's on duty let this happen. Supposidly a MOD or 2 MOD's would have been on and could have banned anyway. God knows when the hotel will be back

lol, I know the people who did hack into quimbys account, there was 4 ppl behind it. But i aint saying no names. I know two of them well and i knew quimbys pass, they've obviously changed it now. It was lanilani2, for ppl hu wanted to know. I have spoked to Jeffoo, she has said that everyone will have their furni back.
