Why did she pick the tea up whilst holding her child if shes concerned about the absence of protective sleeves on cups of tea?

    I shall join in

Why did she grasp a hot cup of tea in the first place? Does she not have this thing called common sense? I'm going to go pick up the kettle with both hands whilst not using the handle after it has boiled, and do it near my dogs

that's obviously her fault for dropping the tea on her baby in the first place??

what sort of mother holds their tea directly over their child anyway, and surely if she'd started to pick it up she'd of realised it was hot before even getting it off the table? :S
