    What a stinky looking conspiracy theory. IF it were to happen, all they'll need to do is light a match in the area and you're left with water, carbon and some hydrogen, if the experiment I remember at school means anything. Do it in the winter and we won't have to worry about heating

    A lot of things to worry about really;

    - the slowing down of the core.
    - yellowstone volcano.

    An interesting read though, never knew about those extinctions due to methane coming from the sea bed.

    not, this kind of involvement in the sea is what causes the gulf stream to stop (not that it will), when the gulf stream stops the motion of the worlds water halts, when that happens we get a poisonous gas coming off the waters something along the lines of Hydrogen chloric acid or something, forgot the name. And the waters then become poisonous. So yeah, people with money would survive through filters etc, but then they'd also have to live off very little food.

    But it won't happen

    when that happened back then it was of natural cause, not because a human stuck a pin it it, back then it exploded out of the sea rather than flowing out through a tube.

    Exactly, I read half, got bored due to the lack of sources. Lacks credibility.
