You can't have a copyright on titles, but imagine if Transformers wasn't a 30-year-old trademarked brand and the film from 2007 was a completely original work - if someone then went out and made a film called Transformers about transforming, warring robots, they'd then get sued. So, The Asylum made Transmorphers.

I see someone mentioned hack Roland Emmerich's 10,000 BC disasterpiece, well The Asylum did 10,000,000 BC. Now imagine how many people were duped by that.

And to the person who said it looked like "another big budget movie", that couldn't be further from the truth - they churn these indepedent movies out with extremely little money.

Isn't a bit like, wow why are you so ******ed to go the exact same way as before with the exact same ship except with an added 2. Also if the same thing happens where the guy finds his loved one or w/e then seriously what are the odds?

    Do this:

    Watch Titanic
    Watch Poseidon

then you've most probably seen this.

Yeah - Looks crap - I thought it would be like what that woman done after the ship sunk, not a re-make

I think it premiered on Watch (or SyFy) before its direct-to-DVD launch, so the very small gathering of people that intended to buy this have now already seen it.

but lol @ people thinking this is a real sequel. i can just imagine leo dicaprio coming back up from the water like "sup?"

im kinda having trouble understanding that. how could someone even have a copyright on "titanic" if it is a real historical event? that'd be like having a copyright on "world war II", i didnt think anyone could own it.
