But yeah I like the short term events over half term and stuff they're really fun. Think we should do more stuff like pantos, that was great
    The Winter Olympics did occur.

I know Roxy has lots planned for the upcoming academic year so it'll be interesting to see the result.

A few years ago, we had these very often; for example the Valentines, Easter, Christmas, B@S, etc. but they seem to have faded off and been forgotten about. I think the short, week-long, themed events were brilliant.

With school starting again, why not hold a week of school themed events. Each day, have one event relating to each subject. "Addition" for Maths, "Falling Furni" for PE, "Shout it Out" for English. Use the points system which was used oh-so-long-ago and then have an overall winner
In regards of "with school starting again" keep checking announcements for details on that soon.

I agree that the HxSS was a big effort and stuff although I think there should be week-long things like this in each major school holiday, you already cover Summer with the HxSS which is 2 weeks and Easter Extravaganza which is a week (and needs more emphasis to be like HxSS) and then there should be a week long one at christmas.

Could probably do things like it in Half Terms too, especially in the winter months when more people are indoors.
Yeah I agree that doing something in the Christmas holidays would be good.

i agree with them when they say its too much
the saying ''too much of a good thing is bad'' comes to mind when i think about more than one hxss
people look forward to it and plan it if theres more than one theyll get used to it and eventually get bored

Wasn't Habbox Winter Olympics around January this year?

Maybe they need more advertising then. It was impossible to use HxF and not know about HxSS (well almost) same can't be said for these other themed events. I just wish there was one announcements forum, I'd never miss anything then.

I can't help but agree. Advertising has always been a problem for every department in my opinion, and it probably always me. As a whole forum, though, we can only take more measures and hope that it is advertised more. In the Habbox World Cup, there were only about 5-8 people who hadn't signed up before so and there was around 27 teams (along with around 6 or so people who didn't join a team). Sure, you're obviously going to get most from the forum (if it's advertised well enough), but I think if we try hard enough we can get new users to sign up and enter these events or at least notify them that they are occuring.

I think attracting new users to Habbox is a huge problem. I only think that because the community is quit exclusive and it's not as welcoming as other forums. New people are there for forums look at tryhabbo which always has a lot of members on and is a new site. HabboForum had 30/40 people on at their best all of whom posted - HxF doesn't 'recruit' at the same rate (well not active/posting members anyway) and I think it can be resolved but that's a different topic for a different day.

I was under the same impression, until I read Oli's post.

Agreed. As I've said countless times, it's just trying too hard to be professional. Loosen up.
