Like how algae gets eaten by tiny fish, then the tiny fish get eaten by some small fish, then how the small fish get eaten by sharks etc. If all lions decided that they didn't want to kill for the food so couldn't eat boar/deer or whatever then they would simply just die out. We need meat in our diet, there are other substitutes but it is nature to eat other animals. I couldn't imagine life as a vegetarian, a life of artificial nutrients and not being able to enjoy many kinds of different food. I love my nice juicy steaks and fish such as salmon/bass/monkfish, it's all I ever eat when we go out for meals and I would never change that for some fake substitute.
idk where ya got the idea that if its not meat that it's fake food, but thats not really true lol. humans are supposed to eat mostly plants, its only been the past 50-100 years when thats changed.

i turned veggie like a year ago, just cause the meat here at my university as pretty gross.

3 years ago and because I don't like the thought of eating something that was living. I think the way in which meat is mass produced is disgusting too. I also think that abattoirs need to be more strictly monitored (such as CCTV and government vets present where animals are being slaughtered) as right now, in the UK I know this isn't always the case which has lead to very harsh and cruel treatment of animals on the slaughter line in some abattoirs.

I don't want to replace my steak/bacon/chicken with beans! Nothing better than getting in late and getting a pack of bacon under the grill, it's like an addiction now and I actually prefer having just a plate of bacon as opposed to bacon sandwiches. You only live once and if you go through life cutting out all the things that you enjoy then what sort of a life is that? Meat is just the greatest, thinking about a gammon steak or T-bone makes me sooo hungry because it's 1:10am and I haven't ate anything since tea time. :[

At the end of the day you (vegeterians) are the ones missing out, it just sucks that you have that type of mindset (hate the idea of cows/pigs dying for our food source) because if you didn't then a life with meat and whatever other crap you would have to cut out of your diet being vegetarian would be so much better. The more I think about it the more it makes me glad I am not a vegetarian - no chinese takeaways, no indian takeaways, no KFC, no maccy D's, the list could just go on and on. It really does suck to be you.

but as someone who doesn't relish the thought of eating something that has had a life, eating meat does not make me happy, and even after eating a little bit of chicken I get an overwhelming sense of guilt. The reason I hate eating pigs or cows are that I've SEEN a pig roll around in mud, ENJOYING itself, having the time of it's life, and I've SEEN a cow calling for its calf because it has lost sight of it, and the raw emotion I can SEE that cow feeling. I know that animals don't think the same way as humans, but I know they feel some feelings just like we do.

Of course if eating meat makes you happy, then go for it, but just because I cut something out of my diet, it doesn't make me unhappy, and certianlly doesn't make me feel like I'm not living my 'life to the full'.

been trying to become pesco-ovo vegetarian for about two years now (eats chicken and fish and poultry, etc.)
unfortunately my mother doesn't believe i should be one therefore she basically forces me to eat meat
she's constantly making gross meats i don't like to get me to eat them, if i don't she gets extremely pissed off
anyways each year it gets better and i eat a lot less meat than i used to so i'm proud
and i will never, ever be a vegan ;P
    hi my name is lexi
i'm living this crazy beautiful life.*

I became vegetarian when I was nine. If I'm honest I didn't really understand where meat came from (even at that age)
I had a discussion with my mother who told me where it came from and I decided that I didn't want to eat meat anymore, made me feel a bit sick.

idk ask one of the billions of people who abstain from any sexual pleasure why theyd do that if sex is obviously awesome.

and your post assumes that everyone likes the same things. ive always despised KFC and McDonalds, even before i was a vegetarian, it's just really gross food tbh. not that kfc or mcdonalds should be considered real food anyway lol. i dont take as much pleasure in eating in general as some people do. i kinda just see it as a chore for health, like brushing my teeth. so why would i eat something really unhealthy if id get the same satisfaction from a bunch of fruit?
