This is something I wonder quite a lot and I do worry about it. In my opinion what is going to happen will happen and there isn't much anyone can do to help stop it.

it feels as if youre neglecting the fact that we're not actually dumb. Theres such things as fires, and petrol, and coal, and wood. Not to mention gas burners, batteries, and torches, bikes, unicycles, even pogo sticksYes, many people would die from a nuke. But an EMP cripples everything electronic, including cars, mobiles, planes, power generators, their back up generators, radio etc... Leaving a whole country helpless, people are going to be dying of eating bad food, drinking bad water and eventually starvation. In the event of a nuke, yes a lot of people are going to die but theres a possibility that they can be evacuated, but an EMP no. Say a EMP was detonated above the UK destroying everything electronic, the only way people are actually going to get away from there is swimming/rowing boat? So yeah a nuke is pretty bad, but imo a emp is worse. Let me quote something I found on the web;Boats run on fuel, and not electricity. yes the lights are powered through electric, but light is not necessary to live. Food would quite easily be very accessible, especially if rationed correctly, which would happen as there are measures in place. Long life food like jams are available too. All that would happen is that we'd go back to old farming techniques and everything else
Okay, a lot of people are not dumb, but you have to agree that the majority of our nation relies on TV, Internet, Radio etc.. as their source of information. As none of them would work there would be no way for the authorities to update the nation on the situation is there? A lot of people would start to panic, looting and riots may occur. I do not know if an EMP would affect batteries or torches, so I am going to have to believe you on that one. Food could be ration yes, but what happens when that starts to run out and long life foods? I'm not saying the whole population would die, but a large chunk of it would.it feels as if youre neglecting the fact that we're not actually dumb. we do at this moment in time. But if an EMP happened, we wouldnt need to go into work. there are speaker phones, morse code, police co-ordination, and any other means to get a message out as to whats happening. Looting would probably happen yes, but i think a lot of people would be calm over what happens. I very much doubt an EMP would affect batteries, in fact i googled it and it doesnt apparently. When it runs out, we get more.Okay, a lot of people are not dumb, but you have to agree that the majority of our nation relies on TV, Internet, Radio etc.. as their source of information. I think youre overestimating the amount of time it takes for an EMP to be fixed. Basically, some things just need to be replaced and its sorted
I guess so, but we will never know will wewe do at this moment in time.
