Who wants the Joke Forum Back???

To build on my post earlier, I can see the merits of both sides of the argument. I've received messages from a few people asking where they should post jokes. On the other hand I think its good to get new users posting in spam and breaking down what can be seen as quite a cliquey forum in some aspects.

Sub forum in spam for jokes? I'm for a jokes/funny vids forum cus I found I didn't know where to post and put one in general discussion.. It was removed and put in spam. But I imagine this is done a lot

I used to quite like the jokes forum, and found it particularly nice to go have a chuckle etc. I think newer members quite like it too, and I've also had a few people ask where the best place to post jokes is.

I think perhaps it was the right move to disable post count, since it is difficult for a joke to get replies worthy of post count, since they often end up very spammy threads (as far as I can remember), however it is really nice in my view to have a special forum for them to be posted in.

As Jamesy said, I think if there's enough people wanting it, perhaps it could return in some shape or form, but I'm not sure on the post count aspect, due to remember a lot of "lol" and basic replies, since the discussion of a joke can be limited in itself.

unless they add post count in a joke forum, theres no point in it coming back and you would also find alot of spam going in jokes and alot of joke-stuff going in spam.

That has never really been a problem before though.

Tbh I think Oli removed Jokes forum in the hope to increase activity in Spam, didn't work.

Glad to see Jamesy and Bolt are willing to let it happen if the majority want it.

I do think it would be a good thing to re-add the jokes forum. It was quite popular and needs it's own identity.

This basically. I have said before, you can't keep minimizing forums in the hope that the forum in general will become much more popular. Discuss anything has been flooded with just about everything and some members, newer ones in particularly may be put off because say there is no joke forum etc. You don't need forums to be so active that they go off the page after a day, and justify removing them just because you've seen useless posts etc. It takes time for find a witty joke. So, I want this back and the forums Rich just stated.
