Obviously I can't say much about the after-math as I've never had the HPV... but if you're worried about the needle it's absolutely nothing.

I remember a couple of years ago I had my tetanus, diptheria and polio booster and I was really scared from like.. the day I got the letter. Seriously, the needle is painless and you can't really feel it..

Afterwards however.. I have no idea - but does it really matter? The vaccine is already in there so there's nothing you can do about it

I had mine last year, it goes in 'pinch pinch' and then out, so its just a couple seconds of a tiny pain like a pinch! Just KEEP MOVING YOUR ARM! it may be a bit hard, and you will want to keep it still but if you keep moving your arm you don't get the second day dead arm as much!

my first one, i got 3 different ones all at once so i didn't even know which it was ;P one of them hurt reallyyy bad but yeh. the last two did hurt me but i lived. i got them at age 11 and i'm so glad i just got them out of the way. i did feel them going in and injecting the stuff and whatnot but i didn't really have any muscle at all then so it was really painful going into my skinny little arm ;P it's not completely horrible.

It goes in then out, takes about 2 seconds that doesn't hurt, then you have to sit down for like 5 minutes in case you take badly to the needle (i highly doubt it you'll be fine).

Then after that for a day or two your arm will feel a bit heavy and it may sting a little, but it's nothing to worry about BUT MAKE SURE NOBODY HITS YOU IN IT otherwise it'll sting like a bint.
