I've only ever had bad luck with my mobile AMD chipsets with cooling, although I suppose you could blame the computer manufactures for that too.

My current computer is running AMD Athlon II. In comparison to my old computer (an Intel Core Duo), it hands-down outperformed it in every aspect.

This is, of course, referring to gaming applications. If you're looking to use your computer for gaming, AMD is the way to go. If you're looking for general computing, Intel isn't a bad choice.

I recommend both processors as they're both excellent.

BIG thank you to the graphics department for making this banner. I LOVE IT!

    EITHER OR

Seriously, unless you're doing very intense video editing/rendering/cpu intensive stuff (Gaming is not CPU Intensive), then choose either brand and go hog wild.

(If you are doing that stuff, go Intel)

    Rightio.

Well mypcspecialist has a well good list for custom made PC's.

I think i was going for one around the £500 mark and it seemed alright.

I'll post the specs up later and if anyone could tell me if they're good or not, that'd be great.
