Yeah thats what I meant by mature really, more professional than the other sites anyway. Negative factor was down to one person

    You were pretty negative

But you can over do pushing professionalism, especially when dealing with teenagers and Habbo It's loosening up now anyway, so can't complain

I think Habbox needs to loosen up a lot more than it has so far if we are to return to what we have been before.

Nowadays this doesn't seem to work too well for us.
It's because of some of the rules that make this site seem aimed to younger users such as no swearing, no photo's in your avatars. Who are you trying to protect

I think that management generally take on most of the role of the owner in the community, it's just not needed for the owners to spend time on the forums, Jin does do a lot of behind the scenes work and probably doesn't have loads of time to be talking to people on the forums at the same time. Sierk just pays, I don't think he posts very much, I've seen maybe two posts from him in the past year?

    a) Swearing is not a required part of conversational language, it serves no real purpose.
    b) I don't want to spend my life staring at some ones horrible face

Nowadays this doesn't seem to work too well for us.

Probably the users from sierk :L He is like 30 now isn't he?? (Or 36?)

But as others have said Jin is often invisible - which he shouldn't be imo but then he is the owner so he can do what he likes :L Drop him a PM

I think he probably wants to avoid PM spam whenever he's trying to fix something

It won't take long for some other fansites to become more professional, but I agree :], that was always an attraction of Habbox!

I disagree, Habbox has and will always be the most professional fansite - whether people think that's a good thing or not!

It isn't unusual specifically in older, more established fansites for the owners to take a step back from the general day-to-day running of the website. Personally I do not think it is neccesary for Jin or most defiantley sierk to log in on a daily basis.

We have a General Management team who manage the site on a more regular basis. In real life, companies aren't usually run by the owner directly. As long as they are committed to Habbox and paying the cheques, I don't see it as a problem really!

Never the less, Jin is doing more than you think (behind the scenes)
