OK. A price for a shared dedicated server has been quoted.

The funding we will need to pay towards it is £15 a month. If everyone pays just a little this should not be a problem. The server will be shared with another minecraft server (don't worry there will be enough RAM).

I'll add a donate button in one of the next posts when we're ready to purchase.

Right now we're looking at something from OVH, we really don't wanna end up paying loads for this.

We were thinking their RPS III package seeing as both MC servers are relatively low in terms of player numbers.

Suspected it might be. Just FYI, you need to pay a £50 setup fee at OVH and all prices (including the setup fee) are exclusive of VAT. I know this because I have a dedicated server with OVH (kimsufi.co.uk) and I'm fairly active on the OVH forum .

I can help with running with this server if need be.

    One word: balls.

Installation costs are provided as an annual payment. Otherwise: £49.99

If you take a look at the lowest Kimsufi server http://www.kimsufi.co.uk/ks/

I might be able to pick one up without a setup fee from someone who's wanting to drop one.

Another potential issue is that OVH don't take Paypal BTW.

I was looking at that one but hadn't heard great things about Kimsufi (I know they're owned by OVH et all)

Well, if he doesn't want it anymore and it'd save us the setup fee, sure.
