I has a similar situation story thingy ma bob.

Last year in Feb, I went to see Paramore in Portsmouth with a friend and I had won a meet and great with them through the fan club but my friend didnt.
So he just snuck in, they didnt ask questions or anything. It was pretty crap though as there was a bunch of us and they just talked to us as a group not seperatly. They even had security there and we werent allowed to like be so close to them. I have a picture I had with them and my friend somewhere. The band was in the middle and me and my friend had to be about 2 foot apart from the band.

    Was annoyed but ohwell.

If you told the people that you're best friend loved the band wouldn't they say "Aaah, alright bring her in."??? Or, just get her loads of signed stuff off the band

This is probably your best bet if you absolutely have to take her. Not telling her would cause her suspicions to arise, and that could potentially damage your friendship more than if you told her she wouldn't be able to.

Regardless, you should tell her in the most diplomatic way possible. Explain the situation and how it happened, and if she's a good enough friend, she'll definitely understand.

Or, if you feel she'd benefit from it more than you would, one-up this and tell her that you were going to go, but you've decided to let her go in your place.

BIG thank you to the graphics department for making this banner. I LOVE IT!

If she is your friend and if you say she loves them as much as she does, I would give her the ticket.

You could also try ask if she can come, or just sell the ticket to someone else and that way no-one goes?
