That's what I thought! William asked for a specific interview with Tom Bradby; a journalist he's known for several years, so I suppose that's why they've selected ITV. Seems rather odd considering the BBC is regarded as the "main channel."

Congratulations to them both and thank god we have the Royal Family, can anyone imagine a President Blair and his wife Cherie lording it over the rest of us from their Presidential Palace (Buckingham Palace) - shudder the thought. The media sure is overdoing this one though just as they do with all celebrity tinted stories - far more important things go on that aren't even given a mention. The newspapers are at it aswell but not as bad the likes of the BBC who only seem to report tripe whereas the newspapers at least report some interesting stories.

Goodluck to them both though, hope it works out well.

Compare the main news pages of the BBC and the Daily Mail.

I agree its over the top but the BBC is far from the worst, most of the Daily Mails page is dedicated to it.

I mentioned the newspapers who are just as bad (that includes the Mail and i've made that pretty clear, but I like the Mail because of its journalists and the comments sections) but at least they run other side stories, for example if you watch BBC News or Sky News for that matter you'll usually only see one story being stoned to death by the news channels (the Labour Party conference when the BBC fell over themselves as Ed Miliband was elected leader) along with constant rubbish on how the seas are going to rise and we are all going to die - totally ignoring any other side of the debate.

The media is all dumbed down, but the news channels are the worst. British news channels should follow the example of RussiaToday who have (from what I see) fair reporting and they report a range of issues across the world and show both sides to all arguments.

Reading the Mail is like attempting to be cultured by reading a Biff and Chip book. Horrendous newspaper. Even The Sun is more credible.

Fair do's but still, in the last 5 minutes I've had a mental image of Steve Jobs bashing one out and now I've seen an upskirt of a future Queen, two images I'd happily do without
