I went to New College and I went to New College for a reason ^^. It sounds snobbish but if you can get into New College then do! I have friends who went to Swindon college, 4 of them, doesn't sound like much but only one of them finished their course, the rest dropped out. But even she wasn't happy with it, it was supposed to end in an apprenticeship and Swindon College failed to find her a placement so that was that, she had to do it herself.

Also Swindon College is supposed to be fairly good for Computing right? I went there for an open day and asked if many students go to uni after the course, the teacher said "Oh yes, we did very well this year, several of our students went to UWE". Now I don't want to sound mean because UWE is far from a bad university but its 56th in the rankings for Computer Science and doesn't have a particularly good reputation for it. If this is a GOOD department and this is a real achievement for them then whats a bad or average department like? Conversely at New College I knew people who got into Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, UCL etc for various things. Rightly or wrongly its a completely different standard.

If you don't mind me asking, what kinda grades are you predicted at GCSE?
