I wrote one letter and received one back in a penpal setup my school had set up when I was around 8. I think penpals are sort of dead because of the internet these days!

I did have a penpal she was American. We wrote for about 3 years and then I guess we both just stopped. I would suggest you just search on google or something along those lines.
