I forgot to even come on here Christmas day, I think it's the first time in... 5 years that I haven't. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmawanzunnakuhdan day.
Yeah, I'm going to have to repossess your award because of that... you don't really deserve it

Most Helpful: Trinity without a doubt, always kind to everyone and helps everyone within an assorted amount of different categories.

God: Tom - opinionated and generally interested and easy to talk to in the tech forums.

Coder: Dentafrice, every post you make now I think is helping someone fix their script which is really nice of you!

It's not like a few years ago when there were arguments everywhere. Reflecting on that I'm embarrassed at how foolish I used to be. Overall now, there's a lot less competitiveness in the section and it's easier to have a real discussion in my opinion!

That's because the discussions used to get closed under some rediculous rule so everyone left

    Also, opinionated?! PFFT, DAMN RIGHT.

Oh how I miss the old days of hypertext and others going at it 24/7. Used to be such a childish, yet rewarding place to argue... haha - I hate growing up.

Plus, how can I not miss people like Caleb and Trinity!

    Much love for my Matt

I was just a lurker back in the good old days, but I still miss it People argued but they got stuff done.
This section is dead now, anyone that had any intelligence and talent has either outgrown the forum and left completely or rarely posts.
I think the few of us that are left don't see much point posting because the people who we respected and whose opinions we were interested in have left. That means we all don't post, which causes a massive decrease in activity and makes other people less likely to post.
    Or people just grew up.

I still think our precious 56 can be restored though, it just takes a couple of decent members to start being active again, posting about current projects, latest designs, code snippets and it should all snowball from there.
Most importantly though (IMO), the talented members need to help out the newer members as much as they can so there's a whole new generation of 56'ers. I wouldn't have learnt all of the web dev skillz that I have without this forum, and it's a shame that other people can't have the same help.

Yeah, I'm getting all martin luther king with a dream up in this mother.

I could go on for hours with ideas and rants about this section, but that's enough for now.
