breathing through my mouth is horrible it gets all dry

I tend to breath through my mouth when I'm sleeping on my side or stomach; and from what I can remember, I only ever really breath through my nose when I'm on my back. But I have to say most of the time I just breath through my mouth. It's kinda funny cause I always wake up feeling like I've been drinking all night with how rough my mouth and throat feel, , but its the most comfortable for me and I always sleep with a like a gallon of water next to me in case I get thirsty .
