You might as well get the one with the hard-drive, there are some games you can't play multiplayer on with the 4GB version (Halo 3/ODST/Reach being the main ones) and the price difference is like £50 i think, something like that.

With all the add-ons they will be giving to the 360 the hard drive space might end up being worth it. Microsoft plans on keeping the 360 out for another 4 years. I think they still got a few tricks up their sleeves.

Because hes 8 you would undoubtedly be getting kinect so i would say the slim kinect package

get 4gb one like me. cheaper and i got a 16gb memory stick from pc world for £10 or so and use that as storage. easy
