Thankfully it seems Australia have given people enough warning and evacuated areas likely to be hit. The State Premier made a fantastic speech too, telling everyone to not pack too many bags - that human life is more valuable.

I read somewhere that the whole thing is as nearly as big as the USA, jeeeeeeeeeesus. I'm not sure if it says it in that article or not, but best of luck in the coming hours!

Woah it's cloudy AND raining, this is a full on cyclone, brace for impact.

Seriously: Good luck, but I fear the worst will be the aftermath, paying for the damages.. well, ouch. And in this economic climate? Double ouch.

I have family who live in Queensland and thankfully they haven't been damaged badly or hurt for that matter. Although I believe 1000s of other home have been damaged though

It was downgraded to a category '3' which is some blessing but pretty bad destruction from what I hear. What's going to happen to Queenslands next? A plague of locusts? They really have had it bad.

    A Category 3 is still one heck of a storm, I'm glad it wasn't a 5 though.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
