This is an excellent idea Rob, and I've just implemented it. Five minutes before a new DJ is coming online it will alert the user.

Why thanks Dave glad to see you're taking it on board! Perhaps - if it's not too much trouble - you could make it so the user could chose which DJs they want to be alerted for?

I think there could be abit of controversy in me deciding to doing that, I'm going to leave that decision upto the Radio Manager and Community AGM

Okey Dokey. I'm just being realistic here...not every listener will like every DJ, and hence if they're alerted every hour about DJs they don't like - will get annoyed. Hench why I suggest making it so that they can set it for certain DJs, so that they know when their favourite DJs are.

Just to repeat, please don't expect miracles from the first version of v6 we release as it will be the most basic basic basic basic version for functionality, HOWEVER threads like these will be expected from you guys afterwards as we become sure our system works and therefore start adding features that people want to use (or not use...)... this website should be quite revolutionary however after release will take a reasonable amount of time to reach this state, one step at a time

Not a messagebox like that, it's a notification in the top right - you don't have to hit close on it or anything like that!

I've never seen Great.la's notifications, although I'll look into adding notifications for events when I get home from class today
