How did you do it? Move the Xbox while it was playing?

You can contact Microsoft and they will charge a bit less for a new disk, still not worth it though. :L

They've done tests, if the Xbox isn't moving/vibrating the discs don't get damaged so Microsoft is covered, but the bass from a TV could cause enough vibrations to cause it to happen, it's a bit like acting confused when a computer breaks once you've dropped it off a bridge.

Uh huh, still shouldn't be happening though as the Xbox 360 is clearly doing the damage. Poor designing on Microsofts part, really :/ Not intentionally bringing this up, but do PS3s do this too? I've never noticed it before :/

    Nope.

    It's a known problem, contact M$.

My PS3 had the sane thing as "red ring of death" it over heated somehow? We bought a new one though.

YLOD. And it could be easily fixed. usually caused by poor airflow, for example keeping it in a concealed cabinet.

Yer that's it "Yellow Light Of Death" we looked it up but it says it's bound to happen again after you fixed it so we bought a ps3 slim. Witch says it shouldn't over heat.

The YLOD is the equivalent to the 360's RROD (which is more common than the YLOD), this thread is about a disc scratching problem the PS3 DID NOT have.

As I said before, it's a known defect with older 360 consoles, contact MS.
