Yeah, I have a similar problem on 2009 (and all of the older versions), but it only happens to one contact. Every time I sign in, my cousin gets blocked. He thought I was doing it because I disliked him, damn microsoft causing family rifts

All my contacts were randomly blocked a few weeks ago.

I've been having so many problems with MSN over the past few weeks it's unreal - i might as well just migrate over to google talk or yahoo messenger.

Both of which only 0.00000001% of your contact list uses probably.

Don;t have a problem with MSN blocking contacts when Im talking to them. But noticed when I added someone, I have to unblock them, coz it automatically blocks them? :S

I didn't know it was such a common problem, I had first assumed it was because I use an unofficial client.

Well I guess knowing they went to all the trouble to get a Gtalk account and client just to talk to me would make me feel pretty special.

Always used to do it on WLM9, but now it doesn't do it on WLM11. Was one of the reasons I kept 11 haha.

I personally think MS did it on purpose to force you to upgrade.

Just wondering... Are they actually blocked or are you "appearing offline" to some of these contacts? I've noticed that the whole block feature seems to get muddled in with "appear" offline/online, depending on your settings. Like I can appear offline to everyone, and then set myself to appear online to a select few.
