    Its basically a build up of muscle tension in your shin area, best way i can describe is that it feels like your muscles are closing in on your leg bone and it feels like its going to break .

    But it can be caused by the majority of things such as running, swimming, jumping, cycling, even something such as walking for a long distance/couple of miles can give you it.

    EDIT; Aching is often good;

    No pain, no game

    I workout every other day in my basement with all the equipment I have.
    1. Jeremy 1129 up, 295 downA named based on the biblical name Jeremiah. Used as a name for children who are blessed with a large brain and/or penis. Also used as a replacement for "perfect".
    We had a child and it had a very large penis so we named it Jeremy.

    I don't do much muscle work (eg. weights), do a lot of running and biking though. Also a strong swimmer.

    Go down my local gym 3/4 times a week.

    Whoever said aching is good, no. DOMS goes away after the first few months, it comes back slightly when your pushing really heavy weights like 200kg squat, 200kg dead, 100kg bench and stuff but no it goes away after the first few months.
    Secondly, isolation exercises (curls) and targeting singular muscle groups sucks. Do compound exercises to build muscle. These are squat, deadlift, bench, overhead press, pulldowns etc.
    No longer active on here
