with a job is good, mileage depends, some companies prefer you to do more mileage as it's more experience, some prefer you to do less. try looking at insurance companies that track your usage too such as co op ... they're ten times cheaper

the latest fast car magazine says that trying to insure yourself on the oldest, cheapest car possible isn't the right thing to do, but neither is trying on a brand new car, best thing to do is to find the right balance. so if i were you, maybe look at cars maybe 03/04?

My car is on the same insurance group as my parents and it is only 200 pounds per year, but it might be different here.

how do you afford that? that's probably more than the car is worth???

my dad put me on his ex-girlfriends policy and added my car, the policy is 600 pounds a year for full coverage including fire, theft and flood.

    you guys are getting RAPED.
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

And don't we ****in know it. I'm paying £1400 a year for a 100bhp 1.2 turbo clio, whereas at the other end of the scale, my dad pays something like £200 a year for his 180bhp, 1.4 turbocharged and supercharged Ibiza hot hatch...

our insurance companies aren't actually making profit though lol between 08 - 09 and 09 - 10 they actually had a loss so that's why prices are so high too.

I'm not sure of the specifics, my parents pay for my insurance and bought my car, but it's very low for me on my '08 Pug 107 5 door with Quinn Insurance. Not exactly a sporty or good looking car, but it's VERY low tax, low fuel consumption, best for the city etc but will still pull 70mph on dual carriageways.

Do you have your full license? A few of my friends were with Quinn and got their insurance pretty cheap whilst they were learning but when they passed, their premiums jumped straight up.

I'm 19, I passed my driving test 6 months ago now. I know it's late, but I did it with the Army, so it was free! New driver, 0 NCD etc.. I should be paying around about £2,700-3,000 for my insurance, but I am only paying £1,190 because I learned to drive with the Army, it's a huge discount due to the fact that I claimed I would be on tour for half of the year, which I was scheduled for but things change aye? - Plus the fact that I've taken a defensive driving course which also knocked a good chunk off my insurance.

There's another shooting today, and this one was bad
I'm glad that we all hope and pray, but it takes more than that
We've been trying, we've been crying
Hoping that they will do more than keep lying
I need to believe that people can change
Or else this life has all been in vain
What's the point of fighting if we're fighting for a lie?

I'm not senDing sublimInal messagEs to rule breakers
