    8. What do you think of this advert compared to the first advert you watched? Please explain your answers.
It's more of an adult kind of advert and instead of filling the advert with white lies, this one is more to the point and shows that it can also happen to people of any age/gender and religion. Also the fact the the advert has celebs in it will help.

    9. What do you think makes a good helpline advert appeal to its target audience (abuse victims)?
One that encourages you to come forward, one that can offer you confidentiality and one that tells you straight that the problems won't go away unless you talk to someone about them.

I'm glad that we all hope and pray, but it takes more than that
We've been trying, we've been crying
Hoping that they will do more than keep lying
I need to believe that people can change
Or else this life has all been in vain
What's the point of fighting if we're fighting for a lie?

Personally i think the first one is more effective, i think its because the storyline is pretty simple to pick up, where as on the second one i genuinly didnt get the story line until she stated 'that wasnt in the script'

    9. What do you think makes a good helpline advert appeal to its target audience (abuse victims)?
the right aged group for starters, prime example is i found the first one more explanitary because im a teenager and found it easy to follow, where as i wasnt able to follow the adult version quiet so easily.

    6. What do you think is good and bad about the advert it terms of the message it is trying to get across?

This advert is really powerful, especially for my age bracket, 16 - 21 because the actors portrayed in it are of the same age so it's easier to relate to the situation.

    8. What do you think of this advert compared to the first advert you watched? Please explain your answers.

I can't connect to this advert as much as the first due to the fact I feel it's overly produced making it seem unrealistic whereby in the first advert it's set in a everyday environment that people could envision themselves in.

    9. What do you think makes a good helpline advert appeal to its target audience (abuse victims)?

They need to be able to picture themselves in a similar situation so they feel that the people behind the advertisement understand and sympathies with the ordeal they are going through.

    6. What do you think is good and bad about the advert it terms of the message it is trying to get across?

Good - It shows a scenario which is usually experienced by teenagers and young people. It also isn't as major and proves that not all abuse situations are bloody and big. It is also in a good format, and shows the impact on both sides.

Bad - It is only really aimed at young people and the dialogue is quite limited.

    8. What do you think of this advert compared to the first advert you watched? Please explain your answers.
This advert is more dramatic, and not as to the point. It also leaves you in suspense throughout and literally has you on the end of the chair. It is more stereotypical and only really shows it from the woman's point of view whereas the other one makes the abuser stop and think about how they would look back.

    9. What do you think makes a good helpline advert appeal to its target audience (abuse victims)?
It needs to be direct and not stereotypical. Also I don't think that putting a really big violent case on, will get people who are affected but not as severely to come forward. Simply because, they will not think their situation is bad enough and won't want to tell anyone let alone kick up a fuss.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful and good luck with your project!

The video seems to have more violence than the first

    9. What do you think makes a good helpline advert appeal to its target audience (abuse victims)?

I think a advert which is straight to the point and represents the same domestic abuse that the audience receives.

    6. What do you think is good and bad about the advert it terms of the message it is trying to get across? Powerful in that the girl clearly did not want to do it but the boy kept going, it sort of showed that when you are in that situation getting out of it can be difficult. Seeing the same boy in the window, also gave a powerful feel.

    8. What do you think of this advert compared to the first advert you watched? Please explain your answers. I preferred the first advert in terms of being powerful. Seeing the girl give in to something really did hit me hard. Whereas the second advert she went home, despite the fact she knew what was going to happen - obviously she had to go somewhere, but for some reason the first one still gave a bigger impact.

    9. What do you think makes a good helpline advert appeal to its target audience (abuse victims)? It needs to show that they are not the only person in the world that gets abused. The advert needs to show the help they can get, and help them realise it should not be how it is/was.

    6. What do you think is good and bad about the advert it terms of the message it is trying to get across?

It's good because it sends a message, however it's bad in the retrospect that i don't believe it portrays domestic abuse as a whole and could be interpreted in diffrent ways.
