Obviously Gmail, since release it's just blown all other email providers out the window. Simple, secure and reliable

I don't recommend hotmail, it's unsafe.
I do recommend gmail.

Personally I quite like Yahoo's email service. Gmail does seem to trump it a little though.

Gmail is by far the best. To get into my account, you need to enter the password and then a text message on my phone to login :p
So without my mobile or house phone, people can't login

I'd use Gmail IF I thought Hotmail was bad..
But since I've got a premium account name on hotmail.com.au I can't complain
