Tesco Car Insurance used to be pretty good when I was 17, you could give them a go. Unfortunately, as a new driver or someone hoping to get your own car, you're better off just digging a huge hole in your garden and burying yourself until you're about 21 or 25 (it varies) to get a decent quote. You could try an Admiral Multicar policy, but as redtom has mentioned, you can get in trouble if you're proven to be the primary driver.

Thing is they cant prove it unless the police stop you like 5 times within a certain amount of time - which isnt going to happen.

Id take the risk, lots of people do it and they cant prove that youre the 'primary' driver.

The government really should do somethig about car insurance for young drivers, tho

Are you crazy? LOL Of course they can find out. They'll ask your neighbours, where you work, I don't think you understand the extent to which insurance companies will go to so that they don't have to pay out :S..

Are you taking the piss? My mom never even had a car crash and they were trying to make her claim for an injury she didnt have. Insurance companies dont give a ****, only thing they care about is getting ££

No I'm not taking the piss but you obviously don't know how an insurance COMPANY ding ding ding BUSINESS works.

If an insurance company can find a reason not to pay then they'll be the first to use that reason. So because of what happened to your Mum, it makes all insurance companies idiots? I don't think so!!

Agreed. They will go and ask people who they see the car being used by most often, perhaps even go to your local garage to see who fills it up most often etc etc. Myke's right, insurance companies will find any way they can to get out from paying, no matter how petty!

It's true. Insurance companies have been known to hire out private investigators to find out if you are really the main driver on someone elses insurance (fronting). They go all the way, the full works so that the don't have to pay out. Especially if it is a claim that will cost them millions.. If it is a claim that'll cost them a couple of hundred, they won't even bother looking into it, they'll just take away your excess and pay you the remainder, not worth them even trying.

There's another shooting today, and this one was bad
I'm glad that we all hope and pray, but it takes more than that
We've been trying, we've been crying
Hoping that they will do more than keep lying
I need to believe that people can change
Or else this life has all been in vain
What's the point of fighting if we're fighting for a lie?

I'm not senDing sublimInal messagEs to rule breakers
