Not everyone can be as !nd!3 and H!P$T3R as you, so a lot of people only find out about him when his music is actually marketed to a mainstream audience, maybe you should just be grateful that an artist you enjoy is getting recognition.

Exactly! What is it with people thinking that any artist that suddenly gets some mainstream attention, shouldn't gain any new fans. Do you really expect us to trawl the music world to find all these people ourselves?

I don't even like Ed's music but people who act like that are just annoying. Probably the same kind of person a year ago who was saying "ALL MUSIC IN THE CHARTS IS CRAP, YOU PEOPLE SHOULD LISTEN TO REAL MUSIC LIKE ED SHEERAN". Year later... lol

believe it or not, music doesn't have to be a big part of someone's life, yes everyone can enjoy it, but you see elitist people who it means much more too who judge others for not seeking out every artist. Are you a movie buff? There are plenty of people who go see films I've never heard of and probably won't, I only find out about the major releases and those are the ones I will probably see, like music, many people dont care about who directs/produces, and only the buffs will know these facts and find other films/music based on that.

ANYWAY, while I do hate the top 40, I don't hate the people that listen to it and neither should you!!

How can you blame them for being "late" with it when technically they're actually not, not everyone goes looking for brand new music and artists on the internet, so blaming someone for liking a song upon it's official release when it is actually promoted to a MAINSTREAM AUDIENCE is pretty ignorant.
