My installation of Windows 7 on my media PC occasionally pops up with a genuine notice like this. It never threatens to lock me out of my computer. It's harmless it seems but would be nice to get rid of the popup.

Yes. I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars on a license for it, I don't have that kind of money right now

Shouldn't complain when you have actually bought the operating system, the genuine notification are there for a reason.

I believe I bought my operating system from Ebuyer.com before it was released. I don't complain about an activation system because I didn't buy it.. Oh and you could of saved yourself some money back in the day due to you being a student.

And I couldn't get it for the student price - only University students can do that and even then it's only certain Universities and certain course students of those certain Universities. It would cost me over $100 to get a W7 license and there's no way I'd even spend that much money on it!
