i have no desire to watch a video of a child being killed, i think it shouldn't even be on the internet though it highlights a vile case of neglect. is it not china where girls are left on the street in favour for sons? i understand what the video is trying to highlight by being around but i don't think i will ever watch it.

you'd think so but no in a lot of places in asia, if something bad is happening they will turn a blind eye, they've been socialised to. i watched a video of a guy harrassing a woman in a bus in south korea, punching her etc and people either watched with no expression or looked away as though nothing was happening. without stereotyping, violence/sexual harassment is quite common over there too, even within the entertainment industry girls are forced to sleep with men in order to get anywhere. suicide in celebrities is high there especially in woman and again everyone turns a blind eye to it. anyway getting a little offtopic, of course i don't condemn what happened, there would be no way i could live with myself leaving anyone on the street and while i don't think most people in UK would either, i reckon it'd be more common than you think. i see people left on the street at night time after clubbing totally drunk who should probably go to hospital but there's not much you can do, no-one wants the responsibility and they're left there. not comparing her death to a drunk persons self-inflicted circumstances but you'd probably see similar happen in places other than china

Did the baby die? I suppose it's the mother's fault, she shouldn't have let the good out of her sight, especially at such a young age!
