    Does it seem to only Happen during Playback or Whilst you are opening the format?

    This could be due to a Driver/Codec or a Failing Video Card. (If you have One)

    Try downloading ComboFix From beelpingcomputer it is a very handy Program!

    Thanks for your post the windows fix I did - basically an install of windows 7 without deleting the files, seems to have fixed the issue. It didn't happen while playing it basically happened while opening a folder that contained a media file in it films and audio, sometimes you had to click on a file sometimes it just crashed if the folder had one of them in it.

    Just also noticed the little problem I had of right clicking on my computer - properties now works fine.

    I recommend people visit this URL if they want to re-install Windows on Windows 7 (possibly works for vista 2) while leaving your files intact - some programs however do go wrong - Adobe stuff, windows update and some hardware stuff. It's basically a repair install like XP offered.
