College sells all the nice crap, so no they don't promote it at all. School was different though, they weren't allowed to sell all the nice junk that they used to.

My school does pretty well with healthy eating, there's quite a range of different meals you can buy which are healthy. There's two different canteens, in one there's all of the hot meals, such as roast dinners and jacket potatoes and in the other there's things like sandwiches, chicken wraps, pasta pots and salads. I've never had a hot meal although I've tried the chicken wraps and the sandwiches which are both very nice.

I tend to bring my own stuff now though, it's effort queueing up when you can just go outside and eat your own. !

i dunno what's happened. when i started secondary school in 2002 (yeh i know old) we had all the sweets, crisps, pizza, chicken + chips in a box etc then 2003 came and EVERYTHING went. i mean everything, chips were replaced with homemade wedges. pop became like fizzy spring water with cola flavouring (vile), crisps were now snack a jacks, everything went and that stayed the whole time when i was at secondary school til like 2008. then i spoke to my friends little sister who goes there now and apparently everything is back, and it's worse than it was before i went there. they have vending machines, pizza everyday, it's maaaad.

my college never really did healthy eating. we had cadburys/pepsi vending machines throughout the performing arts block, the ice-cream van that came everyday during the summer and a little newsagent at the front which sold like everything a normal shop sold.

My secondry school got rid of burgers and cookies in 2007 and then changed cola to spring water, promoted sandwhiches and jacket potatoes and stuff.
They still did loads of chips and pizza slices, sausage rolls etc. We had a little shop outside so everyone just got the older kids to get stuff for us.
College have a shop that sells every unhealthy and the canteen has a stall that sells pastries and the actual college serve all the usual rubbish.
There's like 10 cola machines throughout the college as well.

My school, actually really does. We used to be with a private catering company, But since the new head teacher took over he decided to change all the menu because he wanted more fresh deliveries of food more often a week then the private company. We always have really nice healthy food now compered to what we used to have.

But our School is like located on a massive street with like 14 take aways/cafes so yay for us six formers who just go out for lunch.
