Speaking from experience now. I went on a date with a girl who likes to quote movies, only I didn't know this at the time. and she quoted a movie, I don't remember which - this was such a long time ago. I didn't know that she quoted a movie and I didn't really understand but she was laughing so much, so I pretended to laugh and get the joke so I laughed really loudly too, as if I got it.

Her response after this 'Oh my god so you've seen it too!'
Me: 'Seen what...'
Her: 'That movie!'
Me: 'No...'
Her: 'Oh...so you were pretending to laugh, because it's not really funny unless you've seen it'

I have never gone so red, and back tracked so much in my life. 'no but, uhm if no uh, what I mean is, uhm' ...

Never lie or 'fake it' on a date or face the eternal embarrassment that I have!!

have your parents go to the same resturant because they want to spy on you and they sit right next to you and tromities your date

The worst thing that I could think of, is being going to a date with a women who secretly had a hate for me, and then her taking me to the toilets for something in my mind, and then she stealing my clothes, leaving me there to whimper in the cubicle.
