It's just a gimmick. It was popular many years back and died out and I can see it dying out again.
I think too many people are using 3D when it isn't needed just to make money or they are using it to butcher classic movies.

i can't see 3d :{ i'm like one of a certain percentage it doesn't work on or something LMAO. waste of money.
When Graham Norton was interviewing Robert Downey Jr. about Sherlock Holmes 2 everyone cheered when he (Norton) announced the film isnt in 3D. No one really likes it. It's the 50s/80s again, it rears its ugly head and disappears after a few years![]()

I'm not going to lie but.
I actually enjoy 3D movies in all honesty.
With the current technology it's useless, for the same size TV I'd have to pay around 200% more just for the privilege of Passive 3D, even then they never released Jackass in 3D. Absolutely useless unless of course, you have the money to waste.
I hate anything in 3d now days, gives me a really bad headache. 1080p is good enough. 3d to me is not something to drool over in my opinion. Just buy an LCD TV and 7.1 surround sound and pop in the blu rays and call it a night. ,
